About Us

SVSO HornsThe Skokie Valley Symphony Orchestra has a long and rich tradition of bringing orchestra music to our community. Founded in 1962, the orchestra is composed mainly of volunteer musicians of all ages. Over the years, it has grown to become one of the finest community orchestras in the area. Under the direction of Francesco Milioto and now celebrating their 50th season, The Skokie Valley Symphony Orchestra continues their commitment to bringing outstanding soloists to the stage, from national and international stars to young talented musicians through the Young Artists Competition.

The Skokie Valley Symphony Orchestra is a not-for-profit organization, governed by a dedicated volunteer Board of Directors. They are continually striving to provide cultural enrichment to our community. The orchestra needs your support and the support of your neighbors to help in this endeavor. Become a subscriber and contributor so that the orchestra can continue its cultural mission of bringing great musicians and great music to the community.
